PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
You’ve heard it before, “hang in there”. Certainly, implies tough times but not to give up or in. Usually, a funny image with a cat – certainly, there must be a rescue coming? I think our arms are tired and we cannot see the rescue. Maybe we don’t have to, there was one image I saw that captioned ‘”don’t hang in there”, it showed a cat hanging on an electric wire. That caught my attention, STAY GROUNDED. We each have our own way of doing that, but one commonality is probably time alone or with family and friends. Find your way to step away from work and balance your heartbeat. It comes in odd forms sometimes. There have been times when the dog needs to take a middle of the night visit outdoors, that I step outside with her and boom, the night sky and stars remind me, they show be the Big Sky and all its wonders. We work for good reasons but there is more. I say that knowing that I really value my financial aid colleagues and value some as friends. Often tough, when we decompress together, we vent on work stuff. I encourage you all to find your wellness and balance outside of work. This is what we what we do and to do it well, we need to be rested and in ‘good place’ so that we are efficient and our inner nature of caring shines through. Be well.
